From April 26 to 28, the 2024 Academic Forum on Electromagnetic Rheology was successfully held in Xiao County, Suzhou City, Anhui Province. The forum was hosted by the Rheology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Mechanics and the Chinese Chemical Society, and co-organized by the Key Laboratory of Material Mechanics Behavior and Design of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Advanced Technology of the University of Science and Technology of China-Xiaoxian Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Center. Professor Gong Xinglong and Professor Sun Shuai Shuai is the chairman of the academic committee. With the theme of "electromagnetic rheological materials and their engineering applications", the forum attracted experts and scholars from the government, enterprises, schools and scientific research institutions to participate. Through in-depth academic exchanges and coordination and cooperation between industry and education research, it stimulated inspiration and expanded ideas. On the morning of April 27, the opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Professor Gong Xinglong, director of the Key Laboratory of Mechanical Behavior and Design of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
